A long time ago, I visited a tea plantation in Wazuka town. This is because we were asked to build a small mountain lodge-like hut on a gentle northern slope. In the end, the hut was not built, but I was captivated by the beautiful lines of the tea plantation on the southern slope and the view of the mountainside rising above it. Tea fields spread out on the mountainside, and the Wazuka River flows from east to west. Rather than creating architecture, we create a space where you can blend in with this beautiful nature and feel it through your whole body. I wanted to create a place with impressive scenes lurk at strategic points. We create a space filled with a sense of freedom that gives a sense of peace and excitement to the people who live there. It's an extension of our daily lives, and even if we don't have anything to do, we can just pop in and see someone there. It also serves as a reliable source of support when you are feeling anxious. We would like to be such a facility for the people of the town. The precast concrete louvers surrounding the hall pay homage to the tea plantations of Mt. Kamazuka. We hope that it will become part of the ``landscape of livelihood'' where tea plantations and private houses sit side by side, and become a symbol that conveys the charm of Wazuka, the origin of tea.
