A boutique-type showroom set in the city center of Kobe. While imagining the design that became known as the Bond car, we created a space where you can feel how these cars combine elegance and high performance. Aston Martin created a design code in its home country and started to spread it worldwide. Today, this standardization of form is used to strengthen Corporate Identity. Therefore, the specific demands for materials and the precise implementation of details were carefully met, while freely designing a space that is adequate to the brand that it represents. However, even though the brand has a rare and expensive look, the architectural appearance does not have to stand out, but rather set a frame for appreciating the cars in the familiar scenery of the city. The facade functions as a catalyst that enhances the car, while at the same time, integrating the building into the surrounding environment and cityscape. It is a showroom with unique characteristics, that is set as a frame that blends into the city and is filled with the elegance and performance of the Aston Martin car. For this project, we wanted to study profoundly the creation of representative spaces in accordance with Corporate Identity. It was a pleasure to realize that we were working in the same way, that I felt we did when I was young. With this approach, after certain initial decisions are taken, the space will emerge into an authentic environment by itself. This delicate take is exactly the way how this special car, the Aston Martin, should be exhibited in this environment.
